Member Experience

What You Can Expect

Similar to how your standard bank operates each member is set up with their own personal account. Members can login to their account on our website to access all relevant account information, such as their Trade Dollar balance, commission due, monthly statements, and 1099 B forms. When a transaction occurs, we credit the seller’s account and debit the buyers. Your monthly statements will catalog all of your sales and purchases, just as any other bank statement.

We use proprietary industry software, NexTrade360, to facilitate trading. We’ll work with you to create your business’s ‘Directory Listing’ to showcase your offerings to the rest of the network on our website. You will also be able to browse other members’ listings to get a comprehensive sense of what may be available in the network for you to purchase.

IRS Approved

In 1982, Congress passed the Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act (TEFRA), legalizing the professional barter exchange industry. The TEFRA Act requires professional barter exchanges to serve as third-party record keepers, overseeing all transactions in the network. BancMarc provides monthly statements to members and generates 1099 B’s for IRS submission. Trade sales are treated like cash by the government, and reported as income on a 1099 B for the past fiscal year.

A Global Reach - From the Commonwealth and Beyond

There’s professional barter exchange like ours across the country and the globe. Through the International Trade Association (IRTA), we are connected to these exchanges and therefore may have access to a variety of their products and services. If we can’t find what you’re looking for in-network, we’ll canvas these other exchanges we reciprocate with to locate what you need.

Travel & Vacation

The Travel Industry is a major component of our business. Think about it – an empty room at a hotel or resort is a money loser. We work with hotels, resorts, rental property owners, and more to book those empty rooms and properties in exchange for Trade Dollars.

Whether it’s in our network or something available to us from another exchange, pay for your next vacation or travel with your Trade Dollars instead of cash. We have an in-house Travel Broker who manages all bookings and a Travel Request form to simplify the entire process.

The Marketplace

The Marketplace serves as our own Business Owners’ Yard Sale, and it’s an essential tool for every small business owner to have. Everything doesn’t have to be new, but in reasonably good condition and can come from a multitude of places. Office, home, garage, attic, storage, and so on. Don’t let your items go to waste – sell or buy it with Trade Dollars. We will help facilitate and promote in-person events for fellow members to visit your business and shop – just like a regular yard sale! Remember, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
